Property Tectonics, a company based in Manchester and St Albans, has many years experience in delivering asset management surveys to Universities, councils, social housing groups and commercial businesses. Asset management surveys can show you what maintenance costs and energy costs your commercial buildings or social housing takes, providing the vehicle by which future investment needs are assessed, criteria for prioritisation of work are set and informed decisions on local spending priorities made. pt has a specialist multi-skilled team of building surveyors and fire risk assessors who can inspect for fire risk assessments, making sure your social housing, council property or commercial buildings comply to all fire safety regulations.

Building Surveys

Asbestos Inspections

pt has considerable experience in undertaking and managing large scale asbestos surveys and asbestos sampling of a variety of built estates nationwide, from our St Albans and Manchester offices in the UK. As a multi-disciplinary company focusing on existing buildings, we have in-house expertise in comprehensive surveys of buildings and services including asbestos surveys in accordance with MDH100. Prior to MDH100, we have for many years identified ACM during the course of asset management surveys.

Air Conditioning Inspections

In accordance with the (EU) European Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) all air conditioning systems with an effective rated output of more than 12kw must be regularly inspected by an Energy Assessor. The air conditioning inspections must be a maximum of five years apart. Property Tectonics have a number of in-house qualified air conditioning inspectors that can carry out full inspections of your air conditioning system.

Energy Performance Certificates

pt energy can provide energy performance certificates (EPCs) for your commercial and domestic properties carried out by fully qualified commercial energy assessors and domestic energy assessors.

Display Energy Certificates

We also produce display energy certificates (DECs) to allow public bodies to comply with legislation in England, Wales and Scotland. We have domestic energy assessors qualified at our Manchester and St Albans offices, as well as low carbon consultants.
